One less tooth

Gabe is entering boyhood.... Sigh. It is sad, but true. I miss my platinum blonde toddler, but he has to grow up sometime. The big news is...... Gabe lost his FIRST tooth. Typical Gabe style, in his bed, at night, asleep, perhaps even swallowed. BUT, I found it and here is the missing tooth. We hope the tooth fairy likes it and he makes bank!!

Other than a dimple in a cute little chin,
What's more adorable than a toothless grin?

I love you Gabriel Asay!!! XOXOXO

Our family goals

We sat down together and came up with 5 goals for the year. We chose these goals to bring about more family unity, harmony and love.

1. Read the Book of Mormon or other scriptures at least 5 nights a week. (6 nights is just a bonus, 7 calls for a celebration!!)

2. Have weekly Family Home Evening.

3. Have regular family prayer, morning and evening.

4. Find ways to serve each other.

Many hands make light work.

5. Have a fun family outing, game night, or something new at least 3 times a month. The family that plays together, stays together!! (or is that prays.... both matter!!!)

Our next FHE goal is to find a family scripture for 2010.

I've been looking. (O: How about.....

Organize yourselves; prepare every needful thing; and establish a house, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, a house of order, a house of God (D&C 88:119).

The Windy (and very cold) City

Chicago

Eric went to see Girl Talk (a master DJ) with sweet Aunt Lizzy over New Years Eve. It was cold, but fun. Aunt Lizzy is amazing us all by going into the Peace Corps for two years so this was an extra special treat for Eric to go and spend time with her before she is digging ditches somewhere down south with villagers.

We sure love our sweet Aunt Lizzy!

You make us so proud!!

They live in Silver Springs, but it might as well be Vermont. We hope to see them more. Their children (our nephews), Noah and Nicholas are darling! Here are a few pics that prove they came over and actually exist!! (you know I am JOKING Katie!!) XOXO
